On May 9th 2025, the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona hosted the first edition of an Update Course on Bronchiectasis.

The course was coordinated by Dr. Oriol Sibila and Dr. Rosanel Amaro and targeted an array of healthcare professionals, including pulmonologists, internists, general practitioners, physiotherapists, residents, and nursing staff.

As a whole, the course aimed to:

• Enhance understanding of bronchiectasis diagnosis and management across various healthcare levels.

• Promote a multidisciplinary approach involving different healthcare professionals.

• Discuss recent therapeutic advancements and clinical practices.

The keynote lecture titled ‘Bronchiectasis: New Treatments’ was presented by EMBARC co-chair, Professor James Chalmers.
